The programme of festivities:
- Saturday 19 February
the Election of the Reine du Mimosa 2011 (2011 Mimosa Queen)
organised for the 2nd year in cooperation with the Miss France Committee, the Election of the Mimosa Queen] and her runner-ups is one of the highlights of the local tradition. Visitors will be able to see them throughout the festival in the procession of floral floats.
At 6 pm: the Parade nocturne (evening parade) in the town centre.
The procession of floral floats will parade in front of the public and will bring the streets of the town to life from the Place de Capitou to the Place Esterl Gallery around 7.30 pm, where a variety of entertainment will take place allowing the celebration to continue.
- Sunday 20 February
at 2.30 pm: the Grand Corso fleuri (Great Procession of Floral Floats) in the Port of La Napoul.
The floats will be entirely decorated in mimosa and will parade to the sound of brass bands and the rhythm of percussions for almost two hours. This entertaining, family and above all musical event is not to be missed with the procession of 11 floats that have been decorated based on the theme "La Fête du Mimosa se met au vert"(“the Mimosa Festival goes green”).
- Saturday 26 February
At 6.30 pm: the Parade nocturne (evening parade) in the Port of La Napoule.
This evening parade will take place along the same route as Sunday’s procession of floral floats. It will be adorned with outstanding magical effects worthy of the most magnificent light parades thanks to the illumination of the floats and the enchanting shows performed by troupes of artists.
- Sunday 27 February
at 2.30 pm: the Grand Corso fleuri (Great Procession of Floral Floats) in the Port of La Napoule

- "Du Mimosa au Parfum, From Mimosa to Perfume” coach excursion on 17, 18, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26 and 28 February
You will leave on a coach with your guide for a half-day to discover the "Mimosa Saga".
First of all you will discover the biggest mimosa forest in Europe along the roads of the Massif of Tanneron and then you will visit a forcing house. The mimosa grower will explain to you about all the growing and forcing techniques used on this occasion. Then you will head for Grasse, the Perfume Town, where you will visit a perfumery and discover the manufacturing secrets of perfume made from mimosa and other “perfume flowers” grown in the region.
- Walks in the Mimosa Region on 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25, 26 and 28 February in the afternoon (lasting about 2 to 3 hours)
This guided walk will take place during the mimosa flowering season. It will take you along the paths of the Massif of Tanneron which accommodates the biggest mimosa forest in Europe. Walk in the middle of the mimosa trees and take advantage of this exceptional moment under the azure blue Mediterranean winter sky.
Themes addressed: the geology of the Tanneron, the Massif’s fauna and flora and of course the story of the indefectible bond which links the inhabitants of Mandelieu-La Napoule to mimosa.
- Walk in La Napoule on 17, 18, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27 and 28 February in the morning
Guided by a hostess from the Tourist Office who will tell you about the history La Napoule and its anecdotes, you will go through the narrow streets from the castle to the foothills of San Peyre. Afterwards you will be able to visit the Château de La Napoule [La Napoule Castle] of which the gardens are featured on the list of “Remarkable Gardens of France” and represent the first stopping place on the Route des Jardins de la Riviera [French Riviera Gardens Route].
